Who Does the Work
Londonderry Garage Door Pros works out of 25 Nashua Rd
On doors across a service area that runs from Litchfield and Hudson up through. Most of the houses we get called to went up somewhere between 1938 and 1996, with the bulk of that stock dating to the 1980s and 90s. That matters because a door installed in 1985 uses different spring sizing and track spacing than one put in last year, and a tech who only knows new construction will guess wrong on the hardware. We work on the doors that are actually on these streets: torsion springs sagging from age, openers from the era before rolling codes, and tracks that were never square to begin with. We don't claim decades of history here - what we can tell you is that the work matches the housing stock in this area, not a generic install manual.
The cold hits this region hard every winter
And a severe cold climate band means steel contracts, lubricant stiffens, and openers that worked fine in October start skipping in January. That's the kind of call we take most.
What We Do Not Take On
We don't do new home construction garage bays - that's a builder's job, not a service call. If a door is part of an active new-build, we're not the crew for that stage. We also won't tell you a repair is the right move when the drum, track, and panel are all failing at once on a door from the early end of that 1938-1996 build range; past a certain point, patched hardware costs more over a year than replacing the unit outright, and we'll say so instead of running up a bill.
We don't handle commercial roll-up doors or anything outside residential garage doors and openers. If your issue turns out to be electrical wiring back to the panel, or a structural problem with the header above the opening, that's outside what we do and we'll tell you to call someone else rather than take the job anyway. Honesty about scope matters more than taking every call that comes in.
After You Call
Call (351) 200-9739 and tell us what the door is doing - won't open, opener runs but the door doesn't move, spring snapped, whatever it is. We ask about the address because a job in Londonderry proper reads different from one out toward Chester or Sandown, and knowing roughly how far we're driving helps us plan the day.
Once we're at the house, we look at the actual hardware before quoting anything. A torsion spring replacement on a 1980s door isn't the same job as swapping a broken cable on a newer opener, and we price each one on what's actually broken, not a flat menu rate. If parts for an older unit aren't something we can get same-day, we'll tell you that up front instead of leaving you guessing. We're not going to pretend every job closes out in one visit - sometimes a part has to come in, and we'd rather say that than overpromise.
